Edoh Agbehonou, Ph.D.

Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Edoh Agbehonou is a Lecturer of Political Science and Public Affairs at Savannah State University. He obtained his PhD in International Conflict Management at Kennesaw State University (School of Conflict Management, Peacebuilding and Development). He holds a MS in Conflict Management and BA in International Affairs with a concentration in Diplomatic Services, and B.A. in Literature and Foreign Language (French). Dr. Agbehonou received a Global Learning Certification Award with Distinction for his in-depth understanding of global issues and cultures. He also received an Outstanding Graduate Student Award in in 2009 and was recognized in 2010 as a University Scholar for his excellent academic achievements and research at Kennesaw State University. He teaches courses such as American Government, Peacemaking, Peacekeeping & Peacebuilding, Global Issues, Comparative Politics, International Law & Organizations, International Political Economy, Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods.

In 2015, Dr. Agbehonou had the privilege to conduct a series of human rights trainings to a team of US troops from Fort Stewart who have been deployed to Chad to train over 750 Chadian troops for the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA). His research falls under the umbrella of democracy and democratization with a focus on elections and electoral systems design, political institutions, prevention of post-election conflicts, reconciliation and peacebuilding, radicalization and terrorism, international relations, and strategies & theories of nonviolence conflict resolution as applied to Africa. Dr. Agbehonou’s most recent publication, “Electoral Systems and Electoral Conflict Prevention in Africa” appears in Journal of International Studies and Development. And some of his publications appear in peer reviewed academic journals including International Relations and Diplomacy, International Journal of Arts & Humanities, and Online Journal of Distance Learning Administration. Dr. Agbehonou contributed book chapters, “Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission in Togo: A Useful Tool for Regime Maintenance or for Healing the Wounds of the Past for Peaceful Democratic Alternations?” in Atone: Religion, Conflict and Reconciliation, “Electoral System and its Impact on Democratization Process: A Comparative Analysis of Benin and Togo” in Contextualizing Indigenous Knowledge in Africa and its Diaspora, and “The French Press and Position on Post-Election Crisis in Cote d’Ivoire” in Managing Conflicts In Africa’s Democratic Transitions.

Kossi Felix Akakpo Numado, MPH

Mr. Kossi Felix Akakpo Numado is a PhD Student at Grand Canyon University. He is a Manager at Texas Department of Criminal Justice Central Regional Medical Facility in Huntsville, Texas. He obtained his Bachelor degree of Science (BS) in Healthcare Administration at Clayton State University, a Master in Public Health at Grand Canyon University and as Alumni he was awarded scholarship for doctoral studies (Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership, Emphasis on Healthcare Administration). Between 2000 and 2004, Mr. Felix Akakpo Numado had the privilege to work for Togo Red Cross International, section of Assahoun, in Ave providing poliomyelitis vaccination to children 0-5 years old and leading campaigns against malaria including distribution of mosquito nets to pregnant women. Between 2015 and 2016, Mr. Felix Akakpo Numado worked as Interim Men’s Health Coordinator at DeKalb Board of Health in Decatur, Georgia (USA). Mr. Felix holds several certifications including CNA, PCT, Phlebotomist, and Culture-Sensitive Healthcare Delivery Training presented by Georgia State University as Continue Education (CE) program.

René Houngblamé, MS

Mr. René Houngblamé obtained an undergraduate and a graduate degree in Economics at “Université du Benin” in Togo before coming to the United States. After moving to Georgia, he received his French and ESOL (English as a Second Language) Teaching K-12 certification in 2003 from Kennesaw State University. He received a Master of Sciences in Instructional Design and Technology from Georgia State University in May 2013. He taught for several years in Atlanta Public Schools and Fulton County Schools. He is now an educator in the Atlanta area. Rene has been a US Army Director of Instruction since 2012 and, in this capacity, has led many US Army’s ROTC trips to Africa since 2012.
